Istanbul University \u2013 Cerrahpa\u015fa, Medical Faculty<\/p>\n

Born in 1962 in Izmir. He was graduated from the Aegean University Medical Faculty in 1985. He completed his residency program in 1993 at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty. He became Associate Professor in 1997 and Professor in 2003 at the same Department. He worked for five months at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Scotland; and for 2 years at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Castle Hill Hospital, England.<\/p>\n

He was accepted as \u201cFellow of the International College of Angiology (FICA)\u201d in 1993. He passed necessary examinations and entitled as \u201cFellow European Board of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (FEBCS)\u201d in October 2003.<\/p>\n

He is a member of Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, National Society of Vascular Surgery, European Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, International Union of Angiology and Vascular Access Society. He has several book chapters, papers in international scientific journals and over 1200 citations. He was the President of Turkish Society for Vascular Surgery between 2008 and 2012, President of Asian Society of Vascular Surgery between 2012 and 2013, Vice President of Turkish the Society of Cardiovascular Surgery between 2015 and 2017. Currently he is the President of Turkish the Society of Cardiovascular Surgery. He will be the Chairman of the Union International Phlebology 2022 Istanbul World Meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
